Is an online coin flip fair?

A fair coin has two equally likely outcomes. Whimivo maps a secure random integer to heads or tails, so each flip begins with a 50% chance for either side.

Short sessions often contain streaks or uneven totals. That is normal randomness and does not mean future flips are more likely to compensate.

Frequently asked questions

Is each side exactly 50% likely?

Yes. Each independent flip selects one of two equally sized outcomes.

Why did I get the same side several times?

Random sequences naturally contain streaks. Earlier flips do not change the next flip.

Are my flip results saved?

No. Counts and recent results disappear when the tab is closed or refreshed.

Can this replace an official coin toss?

It is designed for informal decisions. Formal events may require an agreed physical or certified procedure.
